The South African cricket teams comprehensive defeat of Australia in the First Test in Perth came despite the early loss of fast bowling spearhead Dale Steyn.

In the absence of Steyn, 21 year old Kagiso Rabada (pictured)  rose to the occasion with 5- 92 in the second innings for match figures of 7 – 170 and Man of the Match honours.

The South Africans needed something special without Steyn and Rabada certainly did that, and in doing so, cemented a place for himself in the team for years to come.
