Wests Tigers star recruit Jamal Idris (pictured) says the perspective he gained during his time away from the NRL has given him the piece of mind he needs to succeed in his return to the game.

After starting out in the NRL as a 17 year old, Idris felt he needed to learn about himself away from the spotlight and did so by traveling across the world on his own for a year.

With a rediscovered passion for the game, the 26 year old says while pre – season training is typically tough, he’s confident his latest crack at the NRL will be all he could wish for.
