Injured North Queensland skipper Johnathon Thurston is leaving no stone unturned as he seeks to extend his career in the NRL.
Out for the season after shoulder surgery, Thurston has called an end to his representative football career in the hope of winning another premiership with the Cowboys before calling his footy career to a end.
Speaking on Channel Nines Sunday Footy Show, Thurston (pictured) says he’s recently had stem cell therapy on his shoulder and knee in the hope of eking out some extra games from his failing body.
