The Gold Coast Suns expect Sam Day to miss the 2017 AFL season after suffering a dislocated hip on Sunday.
Day’s foot appeared to catch in the ground late in the first quarter of the Suns 24 point defeat of the Lions on Sunday and was stretchered from the ground.
Suns Football Operations manager Marcus Ashcroft (pictured) has confirmed the diagnosis and says Day will undergo surgery late on Monday.
