Cronulla utility Luke Lewis says he’s not surprised at the interest being shown in Sharks premiership star Jack Bird.
The Brisbane Broncos are believed to be on the verge of signing the Origin and premiership star as a replacement for departing half Ben Hunt.
Lewis (pictured) says while he believes much of the negotiation will revolve around where Bird will play, he doesn’t begrudge Indigenous All Star Bird the opportunity to further himself at the Broncos under Wayne Bennett.
