CRICKET – Concerns are being raised about the condition of Australian cricket captain Steve Smith (pictured) with the 26 year old set to be rested from the Sydney Sixers next two Big Bash matches.
The rookie skipper has played every match of the international calendar in the last 12 months, racking up 32 matches without a break.
Although there’s no prospect of Smith missing any matches in the immediate future, the captains workload is being carefully monitored by coach Darren Lehmann, who has seen the signs that Smith might be overdue for a break.
