NRL – South Sydney have issued a statement denying Adam Reynolds (pictured) has requested a release from the Rabbitohs.

The statement comes in response to rumours that Reynolds is being pursued by the Gold Coast Titans.

With James Roberts departing the Titans, the Gold Coast will have plenty of room to move in the salary cap and desperately need a playmaker to lead the club in 2016.

Reynolds signed a million dollar two year contract extension with Souths just months ago but the club has major salary cap headaches with the return of Sam Burgess and has already agreed to release Origin forward Chris McQueen to the Titans.
