RUGBY LEAGUE – The saga over who will replace Mal Meninga (pictured) as Queensland Origin coach shows no signs of abating.
Meningas assistant Kevin Walters was anointed by Meninga as the logical choice to replace him once he decided to take the Kangaroos job but the Queensland Rugby League have instead approached Cowboys premiership coach Paul Green.
Brisbane Broncos Queensland and Kangaroos utility Matt Gillett says the players expected Walters to take over the job but will be happy to work with Green or anyone else appointed to the position.
