The Indigenous affairs spokesperson for the Greens has hit out at the government saying they are bias against the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples.
The Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull is still yet to meet with the peak body despite a request being made around five months ago.
Co-Chair of Congress Jackie Huggins has shown frustration to the pending request, questioning the Prime Minister’s priorities.
Greens Senator Rachel Siewert says the Mr Turnbull needs to show leadership on First Nations issues and move away from bias that his government has shown towards Congress.
