A new wave of First Nation’s paramedic cadets are preparing to enter communities across Queensland as part of a program to strengthen regional ambulance services.

17 recruits from the Queensland Ambulance Service’s Paramedic Program will begin working in areas from the Torres Strait to Bundaberg.

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Cameron Dick says the program is designed to improve health outcomes and help close the gap.
