The CEO of a QLD-based epilepsy advocacy group is urging Australian’s to help spread awareness of the disorder.

March 26 is Purple Day, a worldwide effort to increase awareness about epilepsy and inform people who suffer from seizures they are not alone.

Epilepsy QLD provides a range of services including information, support, counselling, education and programs for kids.

CEO of Epilepsy QLD Helen Whitehead says First Nation’s people suffer epilepsy at the same rate as non-Indigenous people but usually present with more severe symptoms.
