Richmond recruit Chris Yarran (pictured) appears to be back on track for Round one after an excellent couple of weeks on the training track.

Yarran has been battling persistent calf problems since arriving at Punt road and wasn’t expected to figure in the Tigers opening couple of rounds after struggling for fitness.

Yarran has impressed all at the Tigers though with the amount of work he’s been doing to get himself ready  with Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt saying he’d be surprised if the Noongar small forward  isn’t fit to take on former club Carlton in the AFL’s season opener on  March 24.
