The West Indies reputation as the basket cases of world cricket took a battering on the weekend after the teams remarkable defeat of England in the World Twenty 20 final against England.

The Windies went into the final over needing 19 runs to win and got home with two balls to spare on the back of Carlos Braithwaites (pictured)  four sixes in a row.

After the match, Skipper Darren Sammy says his side had plenty to prove after  copping it from all sides going into the tournament.
