A contributor to the Indigenous Law Bulletin says treaty and sovereignty could be looked at as a form of constitutional recognition.
Discussing his article in the recent edition of the bulletin, PhD candidate Dylan Lino told Koori Radio’s Blackchat program there are parallels between the concepts of constitutional recognition and treaty.
Mr Lino says recent years have seen First Nation’s people becoming “ambivalent” about constitutional recognition.
