Johnathon Thurston (pictured) says he’s left no doubt in the mind of Cowboys co captain Matt Scott about the big props future in the game.
With Scott off contract at the end of the 2017 season, the Queensland and Australian forward is believed to be in the sights of a number of NRL clubs with Newcastle in particular waving the cheque book.
Thurston has played alongside Scott for many years and says while he understands the commercial considerations involved, his preference would definitely be for the star forward to see out his remaining years in the game as a Cowboy.
