The Gold Coast Titans season is off to the best possible start with Sundays defeat of Newcastle on the coast.
The club was expected to struggle after the pre season loss of first choice half Kane Elgey to a knee injury but the new halves pairing of Tyrone Roberts and Ash Taylor combined superbly to get the side home 30 – 12 in in a match made difficult by torrential rain.
Kamilraoi and Mandandanji man Taylor wasn’t expected to be a part of the Titans top side after leaving the Broncos late last year but he combined superbly with Roberts as the Titans proved too strong for the Knights.
