Barring a last minute setback, Billy Slater seems set to return to the NRL on Thursday night.
Slater hasn’t played for over a year after consecutive bouts of shoulder surgery came close to ending his celebrated career for good.
After being cleared by the Storms medical staff, it seems the long wait is over and Broncos forward Josh McGuire (pictured) says he’s excited to see Slater and current Maroons and Kangaroos fullback Darius Boyd go head to head on Thursday night.
