The Richmond football club have received a massive boost on the eve of the finals with news that Brownlow medal favourite has committed to the club for a further seven years.
The Tigers were forced to dig very deep for Martins signature, with North Melbourne reportedly offering him an $8.5 million seven year deal.
Martin says while staying at Punt Road meant taking a financial hit in the vicinity of $2 million over seven years, Richmond is home and he’s relieved that the negotiations are done and he can get back to the footy.
