First year NRL rookie Cody Walker (pictured) has been singled out for special praise by Rabbitohs skipper Greg Inglis after the 26 year olds excellent display in Souths two point loss to Penrith on Friday night.

The move of Walker to five eighth has allowed Inglis to move back into the centres and the Rabbits certainly haven’t lost anything in attack with Walker setting up three tries and running for 133 metres himself in the 28 – 26 defeat by the Panthers.

Souths were without principal playmaker Adam Reynolds for the match, prompting the move into the halves for Walker and Dhungutti man and skipper Greg Inglis was full of praise for the way Walker acquitted himself in the narrow loss.
