The National Indigenous Womens  cricket squad have jetted of an on historic 10 day tour of India.

The 14 strong squad, selected after performances at the National  Indigenous Cricket Championships and club cricket will play five matches with the first against a Delhi team on the 22nd of  May.

The squad will be captained by 19 year old star Ashleigh Gardner, (pictured) who says while it’s a daunting task to be leading the squad on such a groundbreaking tour, the benefits to the members of the squad will be immeasurable.
