Hawthorn coach Alistair Clarkson has delivered an impressive broadside to former teammate Wayne Carey over statements Carey made about Cyril Rioli.
Carey said on Melbourne radio on Saturday that Rioli wished to return home to the Tiwi islands, despite Rioli having recently signed a five year contract extension.
Carey refused to identify the source of the rumours, leading to a call from Clarkson (pictured) for greater accountability for media commentators, particularly Carey whose own checkered past has been well documented.
