18 year old AFL draft pick Patrick Lipinski (pictured) has realised a lifetime ambition by being drafted by premiers the Western Bulldogs.

Despite missing much of the last two seasons with injury, he was able to get enough game time in 2016 to attract the interest of the Dogs who selected him with No.28.

It’s a rare thing for a draftee to be drafted by the club he grew up supporting, leaving Lipinski over the moon at this selection.
