Gold Coast Suns superstar Gary Ablett (has confirmed he won’t captain the side in 2017.
Ablett has been the subject of increased speculation over his future at the club since his request for a release was denied by club management.
The 32 year old has struggled in recent years with consecutive shoulder injuries keeping him off the paddock for months at a time and he says with his career at the back end, now was the time to hand over the captaincy.
