Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge will look to his senior players to step up in the absence of skipper Robert Murphy (pictured).
The clubs worst fears were realised late on Monday with the confirmation that the captain has ruptured his ACL and was likely miss the remainder of the 2016 season.
It’s a terrible blow for Murphy who is only five games away from his 300th AFL match but the coach is confident the skipper has plenty more footy left in him despite the injury.
