The head of a First Nations support service has welcomed funding for a crucial support program for families and ex-offenders in West Australia.

The Federal Government has announced $2million in funding for the First Peoples Crisis Support program run by Ngalla Maya Aboriginal Corporation.

The program is designed to assist families and ex-offenders with housing, government departments and child protection.

Ngalla Maya Chief Executive and Bibbulmun man Mervyn Eades welcomes the funding and says the program has been running for the past two years with a 100 per cent success rate in resolving families evictions.
