Community consultations for the establishment of an Indigenous aged care service in East Arnhem Land are set to begin next month.
Foundation funding of $340,000 has been allocated for the first stage of development to discuss job opportunities and the best service model for the region.
Minister for Aged Care and Indigenous Health Ken Wyatt says up to a dozen local jobs will be created from the project.
Community consultations will run until December, with the new service expected to open in late 2018.
