The WA Police force, the Department of Aboriginal Affairs and 7 Aboriginal artist have united to create specially crafted on duty police uniforms in full NAIDOC spirit.
Seven artists representing each regional WA district, have designed 2100 culturally inspired uniforms and 7 vehicle wraps to be worn and shown off during this years 2017 NAIDOC week celebrations.
The $120,000 project has been jointly funded by the Department of Aboriginal Affairs and the WA Police Department through money set aside for community projects.

Mr Adams also made comment that the uniforms will continue to be worn after NAIDOC week alongside the standard uniform on special events.
