A First Nations leaders group in the Kimberley Western Australia are concerned about the slow progress towards striking a partnership with the State Government on improving youth well-being.
Aboriginal community controlled organisations in the Kimberley have come together to form the Aboriginal Regional Governance Group to provide unified leadership on issues affecting their communities.
They were approached by the Western Australian Government to hash out a partnership on addressing youth well being in the region but that partnership is yet to be formalised.
Co-chair of ARGG, Desmond Hill says the first agreement they developed was amended at the request of the government and they are yet to hear back about the amended version that was handed to the government in January.
