AFL – The North Melbourne footy club are hoping Daniel Wells (pictured) terrible luck with injuries over the last couple of seasons will ultimately enable him to extend his career.
Wells has played just 12 games over the last two AFL seasons with foot and Achilles injuries conspiring to keep him on the sidelines.
With the two time North best & fairest out of contract at the end of the upcoming season, North coach Brad Scott believes Wells time out of the game may well allow him to remain in the game longer.
Scott played with Alistair Lynch at the Brisbane Lions where Lynch’s battle with chronic fatigue syndrome saw him miss all but one game of the 1995 season and the coach hopes that if Wells can get on top of his niggling injuries, he’ll be an asset to the Kangaroos for at least a couple more seasons.
