NRL – South Sydney have added valuable experience and firepower to their backline stocks after signing Dane Nielsen (pictured)  for the next two years.

The 30 year old former Qld State of Origin player debuted in the NRL in 2007 with the Melbourne Storm and was a part of that clubs 2009 and 2012 premierships.

Since leaving the Storm following the 2012 season, Nielsen has played with the Warriors and in the 2015 season St George.

With Souths losing Dylan Walker in the off season, Rabbitohs coach Michael Maguire was in the market for an experienced three quarter and believes in Nielsen, who’s played three Origin games for the Maroons and debuted for the Indigenous All stars in 2013, he’s found the ideal candidate to fill the centre spot vacated by Walker.
