AFL – South Australian Football League CEO Jake Parkinson has delivered a clear message to the Essendon footy club as the league prepares to lose its best players to the Bombers.
With Essendon losing 12 current players to the year long bans announced on Monday, the race is on to fill the Bombers playing ranks with the NAB cup now only weeks away.
Although Parkinson knows he can’t prevent the player poaching, he’s called on Essendon and the AFL to ensure any dealings with players are conducted out in the open and not behind the backs of the local clubs.
