RUGBY – Quade Cooper (pictured) has touched down in Sydney and begun training with the Australian team for this weekends Sydney 7’s.
With limited opportunities to familiarize himself ahead of the Rio Olympics, Cooper needs all the on field time he can get if he’s to win a spot in the Olympic 7’s squad.
The introduction of the seven a side game to the Olympics has created a new level of interest in rugby around the world and while its hard to overlook the likes of New Zealand and England to beat this weekend, former Wallaby and Wiradjuri man Jim Williams believes a number of non traditional rugby nations are now establishing themselves as legitimate threats.
