NRL – The Canberra Raiders are set to unleash former PNG Hunter Kato Ottio (pictured) at this weekends Auckland Nines.
Ottio’s combination of size, speed and pace made him a standout for the Hunters in the Intrust Cup and earned him a trial contract with the Raiders.
Canberra recruitment manager Peter Mulholland says he believes Ottio could a revelation at the Nines and believes its high time the NRL ramps up its commitment to furthering the game in Papua New Guinea.
