AFL – Geelong Cats superstar Stephen Motlop has enjoyed the opportunity for some time with a different ball  in hand on the weekend.

Motlop turned out for the Barwon Heads D Grade cricket team on the weekend and nobody was surprised that his fitness was a step above his opposition and teammates after a gruelling pre season with the Cats.

A magician with the Sherrin in hand, 24 year old Motlop is unlikely to be pursuing higher honours on the cricket field after his four overs of medium pace were smacked around the ground although he did pick up a handy wicket.

Batting at No 10, he then played scored an invaluable four not out as his Barwon Heads side held on for a one wicket win over Collendina in Barwon Heads.
