The week of celebration leading into this weeks Indigenous All Stars game at Lang Park on saturday night has begun.

More than 30 past and present First Nations greats of Rugby League have journeyed to Minjerribah this week for a two day leadership camp, with a particular focus on helping players to strengthen their cultural identity and wellbeing combined with on and off field leadership skills.

All Stars skipper Greg Inglis is at Stradbroke Island with the likes of Dane Gagai and Jack Wighton and former NRL star Dan Widders.

Dun Ghutti man Inglis (pictured) says not only is it an honour to be leading the First Nations team in the 6th All Stars match, he’s also thrilled to once again be part of the camp and the opportunities it presents saying “The lead-up to the match is all about encouraging as many people from all walks of life to appreciate the history of Indigenous people, both past and present, who have been leaders in shaping our country.”
