RUGBY LEAGUE –  Wayne Bennett (pictured) is giving serious consideration to taking on the job of coaching the England rugby league team.

Bennett lobbied hard to replace Tim Sheens when Sheens quit the Kangaroos coaching position last year and was less than impressed when he was overlooked and the job went to Mal Meninga.
