ORIGIN – New South Wales State of Origin coach Lauire Daley (pictured)  has following in the footsteps of his Queensland counterpart Kevin Walters by naming his 2016 Emerging Blues squad.

The seventeen outstanding young prospects will come together in Sydney on January 16 for a one day camp aimed at acclimatising the young players to the attitude and culture required to be a part of the Blues setup in the future.

The concept of an emerging players squad has been utilised with great success by the Maroons in recent years under former coach Mal Meninga.

Amongst the players included in the squad are First Nations players Titans forward Ryan James, Alex Johnston and Adam Reynolds from South Sydney and new Broncos recruit James Roberts
