NRL – North Qld coach Paul Green has welcomed the addition of club icon Matt Bowen (pictured) to the Cowboys coaching ranks.
After retiring from the NRL in 2013, Bowen had a couple of excellent season with Wigan in the English Super League and joins the Cowboys as a Community Engagement Officer.
The sight of Bowen running around at training has raised the prospect of the former Origin star playing in the Auckland Nines but Green says he’ll need to pass a fitness test first.
