The Parramatta Eels have had their most positive start to an NRL season since the clubs glory days of the 80’s after winning their seventh straight game last night against Manly.

Michael Jennings (pictured), in his 200th NRL match was the star for the Eels with his two tries the difference in a pulsating match at Brookvale oval.

The Eels have been perennial underachievers in recent years and certainly, the salary cap scandal has the potential to derail their 2016 campaign  but former international Steve Renout says the Eels have now  turned the corner and will trouble plenty more teams in 2016.
