A Queensland women’s prisoner support service has slammed the Queensland Government’s changes to youth incarceration.

Last week, the Palaszczuk Government suspended the State’s Human Rights Act to detain young people in police watch houses and adult prisons which will be used a youth detention centeres.

The laws were pushed through parliament without the scrutiny of a parliamentary committee.

Debbie Kilroy from Sisters Inside has told the ABC that the Queensland Government’s been illegally locking up children for 30 years.
