In Tasmania this year’s Invasion Day rally will be held online in an effort to keep mob and the general community safe from COVID.
This year’s rally features a notable line-up of speakers including Australian of the Year Grace Tame, former Supreme Court Judge Pierre Slicer and activist Rodney Gibbins.
The event includes a welcome to country, a one minute silence to honour the Aboriginal lives lost during invasion and a dance ceremony.
Palawa woman Nala Mansell says she hopes the event will be a platform for those who are passionate about changing the date.
