Young First Nations people growing up in QLD recently got to share their positive and negative experiences of life during the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 1,500 young people completed the Growing Up in Queensland: Living through COVID survey, with six per cent of responses from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and South Sea Islander young people.
Principal Commissioner of the Queensland Family and Child Commission, Cheryl Vardon said young First Nations people provided practical suggestions about how government and leaders could better communicate with young people when making decisions about COVID-19.
