Health groups in NSW have expressed fears the Covid-19 pandemic will move to an epidemic of chronic illness among the states regional First Nations population.
The CEO of Rural and Remote Medical Services Mark Burdack spoke to Bumma Bippera Media about how communities are at risk of an illness epidemic due to missed check-ups.
Mr Burdack says the decline is entirely due to Covid; Indigenous people in smaller remote towns are avoiding travelling to larger towns because of the risk of infection.
