A new health app is seeking to give Australians improved access and control over their health information.

The My Health App is the first consumer mobile application launched by the Australian Digital Health Agency and will give users better access to their My Health Record data such as medicine information history, allergy and reaction information and discharge summaries.

A Gunggari, Gubbi Gubbi man and Former NRL player, Steve Renouf is a key spokesperson for the Australian Digital Health Agency, He says the app provides quick access to important information.

Mr Renouf says the agency has made assurances that all data accessible through the app is protected.
