Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders with a disability are sharing their experiences of NDIS, the National Disability Insurance Scheme – as part of a review by the peak Indigenous disability organisation.

First Peoples Disability Network has started getting feedback from Indigenous communities across the country.

FPDN most recently visited the Kimberley in Western Australia.

The network’s Kelly Cox has told NIRS News that feedback so far shows a disturbing theme of a lack of diagnosis for children to get access to the NDIS unless they’re in the child protection system.
