Torres Strait islander Dane Gagai is the talk of the rugby league world after his two try effort in Qld’s rousing come from behind victory in Origin Game Two in Sydney.

After getting the Maroons back into the match with his first try in the 52nd minute of the match, Gagai was on hand late in the second half to score the crucial try that bought the teams level and created the opportunity for Johnathon Thurstons match winning conversion.

Gagai (pictured) has now scored seven tries in his six Origin matches for Queensland but he played down his match winning heroics after the game, saying he’s just doing his job for the team.
