The Greens have hit out at the Queensland Premier regarding a royalties deal with Indian mining giant Adani and have vowed to target the Deputy Premier’s inner city seat.

Following a cabinet meeting the Palaszczuk Government has reportedly struck a deal with Adani which will see the mining giant pay a reduced rate for royalties for the first five years.

Annastacia Palaszczuk says Adani will be paying everything they are supposed to Queensland with deferred payments to be made later.

Greens Senator Larrisa Waters says a company building a $16 billion coal mine shouldn’t need a discount.

She says they have enough support on the issue to roll the Deputy-Premier.
