An Indigenous led initiative has drawn praise for educating mob about superannuation and the helping people recover their lost super.

The Big Super Day Out, run by the First Nations Foundation, has been operating since 2014 and has helped mob in Arnhem Land find more than $24 million in lost super.

The initiative toured the communities of Galiwinku, Raminggining, Milinginbi and Gapuwiyak helping mob reconnect with 4.9million in super over four days.

CEO of the Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation, Alistair King says the initiative helps mob understand something that can be a challenge for most people across the country.

Arnhem Land is not alone, with the Big Super Day Out event also recently touring Darwin, Kununurra and Broome.
