The University of New South Wales has been slammed through mainstream media for describing British arrival to this continent as an invasion rather than a settlement.
The university’s Diversity Toolkit states that this land was not settled peacefully, and that it was invaded, occupied and colonised.
While multiple online articles and television coverage of the matter have accused the University of ‘Rewriting History’, Gamillaroi man and Founder of Indigenous X, Luke Pearson says main stream media does a bad job at the free flow of ideas.
