Brisbane Lions forward Charlie Cameron has become the fourth AFL player to be the target of racist abuse online within just 24 hours.
The Fremantle Dockers condemned racist and homophobic abuse on social media against their players Nathan Wilson and Michael Walters on Tuesday while Adelaide Crows star Izak Rankine called out a racist message he received on Monday.
AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan has issued a statement after the repeated abuse, saying it hurts “all Indigenous players and players of colour across the league.”
Responding to the latest comment made against Cameron, the Brisbane Lions urged supporters to call out unacceptable behaviour.
